Logentic Package Protection Schedule
The product schedule for Logentic Package Protection under section 9 of the Logentic Platform Terms.
- Version
- 2026-10-10
- Effective date
- October 10, 2026
In short
Priced on what you ship
1.25% of merchandise value plus postage for parcels going to Canada, and 1.50% for every other destination, including the United States. Coverage up to $1,000 per shipment.
Paid by Logentic
Logentic pays approved benefits to your Shipping Wallet for parcels lost or damaged in transit and, with sufficient proof, stolen after delivery. Your money does not wait on the carrier's decision.
Fast credit for honest claims
A complete claim can be credited the moment it is filed. Logentic can reverse a credit when an investigation shows, on documented evidence, that the claim was fraudulent.
1. THE BENEFIT AND WHO PROVIDES IT
1. This Schedule is an accepted product schedule under section 9 of the Logentic Platform Terms (the “Terms”). Words defined in the Terms have the same meaning here. Logentic Technologies, Inc. (“Logentic”) provides Logentic Package Protection (“Package Protection”), administers its claims, and is responsible for paying approved benefits. No insurer or third-party administrator is involved.
2. Package Protection is a contractual benefit offered by Logentic. It is not an insurance policy issued to the Customer, and it is separate from any carrier claim, carrier liability or carrier declared-value coverage.
3. Logentic may stop offering Package Protection for future labels. Shipments already protected keep their benefit under the version of this Schedule accepted for them.
2. ELIGIBLE SHIPMENTS
1. A shipment is eligible when its label is bought in the platform through a Logentic-managed carrier account, not the Customer's own carrier account, Package Protection is turned on for the Customer's workspace, and protection is added when the label is bought, manually or under an automatic-purchase setting the Customer turned on. Protection cannot be added after the label is bought.
2. The purchase confirmation and the shipment record show the coverage amount and the price for that shipment. Together with this Schedule, they are the accepted offer for that shipment.
3. WHAT IS COVERED AND WHAT IS NOT
1. Package Protection covers merchandise lost or damaged in transit, between the carrier's acceptance of the parcel and its delivery, and the outbound postage paid for that shipment.
2. Package Protection also covers a parcel the carrier records as delivered to the address on the label that the recipient did not receive, including theft after delivery (“delivered, not received”), for a delivery in Canada or the United States. Section 6 sets out the proof required.
3. It does not cover: (a) a delivery that is only late; (b) a parcel the carrier records as delivered to the address on the label, unless it arrived damaged or is covered as delivered, not received under paragraph 2; (c) loss or damage caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the Customer, by packaging that was not adequate for the contents, or by contents that are prohibited, restricted or refused by the carrier, or perishable; (d) seizure, delay, duties, taxes or charges imposed by customs or another authority; (e) a parcel returned to the sender, unless it was lost or damaged in transit; (f) indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, replacement shipping or loss of goodwill; and (g) merchandise value that the sales invoice does not support.
4. COVERAGE AMOUNT AND VALUATION
1. The coverage amount for a shipment is the retail merchandise value entered for it plus the label charge paid for it, up to $1,000 per shipment, in the currency of the Shipping Wallet or billing profile that paid for the label. When merchandise value plus postage is more than $1,000, the shipment is underinsured and the benefit is limited to $1,000.
2. Merchandise is valued at its documented retail value on the sales invoice, not at its acquisition cost. Postage is the label charge paid through Logentic, less any postage refund already received. Duties, brokerage and amounts reimbursed outside Logentic are excluded. Merchandise and postage share the coverage amount, and the benefit never exceeds it.
3. The coverage amount is a maximum. It is not an agreed value or a guaranteed payment.
5. PRICE, TAXES AND PAYMENT
1. The price is 1.25% of the coverage amount for a shipment to a destination in Canada, and 1.50% for every other destination, including the United States, rounded to the nearest cent. There is no minimum price. For a shipment over the $1,000 maximum, the price is calculated on $1,000.
2. Applicable sales taxes are added. The price and taxes are charged to the Shipping Wallet, or to the applicable shipping billing profile, when the label is bought.
3. A shipment protected before this version took effect keeps the coverage amount and price shown on its purchase confirmation.
6. HOW TO CLAIM
1. File a claim in the platform from Help, then Carrier claims, or by email to support@getlogentic.com, within 60 days after the label was bought.
2. A complete claim includes the sales invoice showing the retail value, photos of the parcel and merchandise for damage, and, for a lost parcel, carrier tracking that shows it lost, missing or undeliverable. A claim for a lost parcel without that tracking can still be filed and is reviewed under section 7.
3. A delivered, not received claim can be filed starting 3 days after the carrier's delivery scan, within the period in paragraph 1. It requires sufficient proof that the parcel was not received: the sales invoice and the recipient's written statement that the parcel did not arrive. Logentic may also ask for a police report, the carrier's proof of delivery or a carrier investigation, and may deny a claim without sufficient proof.
4. Until the claim is decided, the Customer must keep the parcel, packaging and damaged merchandise and make them available on reasonable request. The Customer must disclose any other compensation received or claimed for the same loss.
7. DECISION, INSTANT CREDIT AND REVIEW
1. Logentic may approve a complete claim automatically when it is filed and credit the benefit to the Shipping Wallet that paid for the label, in that wallet's currency (“instant credit”). Instant credit depends on Logentic's eligibility, verification and volume checks, which Logentic may change. It is not available for every claim or workspace. A delivered, not received claim is always reviewed and is not eligible for instant credit. A claim that is not credited instantly is not denied; it is reviewed.
2. Logentic decides every other claim within 3 days after receiving a complete claim. Logentic may ask for reasonably necessary additional evidence; the 3-day period restarts when that evidence is received. Approved benefits are credited to the Shipping Wallet. A denial states its reason.
3. An instant credit is an approval based on the information submitted. It remains subject to section 8.
8. FRAUD, MISREPRESENTATION AND REVERSAL OF A CREDIT
1. Logentic may investigate any claim before or after payment, including after an instant credit. During an investigation, Logentic may ask for evidence such as order records, communications with the recipient, carrier records and the parcel or merchandise, and may pause instant credit for the Customer's workspace.
2. If Logentic establishes, on documented evidence, that a claim was fraudulent or materially misrepresented, Logentic may reverse the credit paid for it. Examples include a fabricated or altered invoice, an inflated value, a parcel that was in fact delivered intact, damage that happened after delivery, a claim for a shipment that was not sent, and a recovery for the same loss that was not disclosed. When a misrepresentation only inflated an otherwise valid claim, the reversal is limited to the excess.
3. Before reversing a credit, Logentic will send the Customer written notice of the amount, the reasons and the evidence relied on, and give the Customer at least 10 business days to respond with its own evidence. If Logentic maintains the reversal after considering the response, it may debit the amount from the Shipping Wallet or invoice it under the payment terms of the Terms.
4. When fraud is established, Logentic may also refuse related pending claims, suspend instant credit or Package Protection for the workspace, and exercise its other rights under the Terms and the law. The Customer keeps its right to dispute a reversal under the Terms.
9. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
1. If a label is voided or refunded before the carrier accepts the parcel, the Package Protection price and taxes for it are refunded to the source that paid them. Once the carrier accepts the parcel, the price is earned and is not refunded.
2. Turning off Package Protection or an automatic-purchase setting affects labels bought afterward only.
10. OTHER RECOVERIES AND CARRIER CLAIMS
1. The Customer may not be compensated twice for the same loss. Compensation from the carrier, the recipient, a marketplace, or another insurer or protection plan for the same loss must be disclosed. It reduces the benefit or, if the benefit was already paid, is repaid to Logentic up to the amount paid.
2. Once Logentic pays a benefit, the Customer assigns to Logentic its rights against the carrier and others for the same loss, up to the amount paid, and will reasonably cooperate with Logentic's recovery. Logentic keeps any carrier recovery for the same loss up to the amount it paid.
11. CHANGES TO THIS SCHEDULE
1. Logentic may change this Schedule, including the price, for labels bought after the change takes effect, with notice under section 26 of the Terms. A change does not apply to a shipment already protected, a claim already filed or a benefit already paid.
2. Section 8 applies to every credit paid after the Customer accepts this Schedule.
Turning on Logentic Package Protection for a workspace, or an automatic-purchase setting, accepts this Schedule for the Customer. The person doing so confirms that they have authority to bind the Customer and that the French version was made available before any choice to accept in English.
